Mediterranean Garden

 

The Mediterranean Garden began as a demolition site for a newly remodeled home.  Two challenges set the direction for the garden - a two level yard divided by an old retaining wall in addition to a towering building next door.  A Mediterranean theme was appropriate for the microclimate as well as the contemporary architecture of the home.  Urban Garden Forms designed a dual-use garden space incorporating a modern hardscaping scheme and plants with upright form in varying shades of green.  The upper elevation is a multi-use lawn directly accessible from the back deck.  The lower level is a paved, tree lined promendade leading to a free standing firepit.
